Last week we reported at The Ringside Roster that WWE was moving NXT to USA before October. This came after lots of talk for months about NXT being moved to FS1 as part of the new WWE deal with FOX. Ultimately it was a move by Vince McMahon to get as many eyes on the product as possible with AEW coming to Wednesday‘s in October on TNT.
Chris Jericho appeared on Busted Open Radio today and he seemingly let the cat out of the bag about NXT coming to the USA Network. In fact, he went ahead and seemed to ruin WWE’s big announcement.
Yes, Y2J said that NXT will be debuting on USA Network starting on September 25th from 8-10pm. This is exactly one week before AEW starts on TNT to officially start the Wednesday Night War.
Of course WWE is reportedly set to make the big announcement tonight on RAW regarding NXT‘s big move to USA so you can be sure they are not too happy about this from Jericho and we’ll have to see how they respond. The Wrestling Wars are definitely back and things are heating up.
