Roman Reigns wins the Universal Championship at Payback and takes back his yard

Tonight at WWE Payback, Roman Reigns did exactly what he said he was going to do when he returned on SmackDown this week capturing the Universal Championship and shocking everyone..except himself and of course Paul Heyman. After all Reigns made it known that he would be walking out as Champion as did Heyman and it wasn’t a predicton it was a spoiler. We also reported previously reported at TRR that WWE was indeed set on putting the title back on Reigns at Payback and making him the top heel on SmackDown. Although Reigns just returned and The Fiend Bray Wyatt only won the title back from Braun Strowman at SummerSlam the company was not interested in waiting to crown Reigns. Reigns picked his spot in the match waiting until Wyatt and Strowman were down in the ring (or what was left of it after a huge top rope superplex by Wyatt on Strowman) to run out and take out Wyatt while hitting a spear on Strowman for the win. As the crowd in the WWEThunderDome and surely around the world looked on in shock Reigns stood at the top of the ramp celebrating with his new advocate Paul Heyman to a series of boos.

At this point it’s safe to say most fans are wondering what’s next for Reigns. It’s likely that we will see a feud between Reigns and Wyatt for the Universal Championship going forward. However, with Reigns sitting at the top of the WWE mountain again and this time with Paul Heyman by his side as well as a vicious new edge to him the question is who can stop him? Right now the answer to that question may be nobody..believe that.
